After 32 years of active duty service to his country in which he received 2 awards for valor, 5 Bronze Star medals, 2 Purple Hearts, led ten deployments, and survived both a bomb blast, numerous fire fights, and a helicopter crash, General Donald C. Bolduc, former Commander, Special Operations Command Africa, is hanging up his fatigues to take on perhaps his most important and challenging mission of advocating for the treatment and shedding the stigma of PTSD and mental health problems, both from within the US military as well as the general public. In addition, he is interested in teaching, coaching, and mentoring on leadership and acts as a senior advisor on Special Operations for the Center of Naval Analysis. Read General Bolduc’s full biography here.

  • Portland, Maine, named Bon Appetit’s Restaurant City of the Year!

(Excerpt from the Portland Press Herald)

This is just the fourth time the magazine has named a City of the Year, and Portland, with a population of 67,000, is by far the smallest honoree “by millions of inhabitants,” said Andrew Knowlton, Bon Appetit’s editor-at-large. Knowlton wrote the two-page feature story on Portland that was posted online Tuesday and will appear in the magazine’s September Best New Restaurants issue, which hits newsstands next Tuesday. Past winners were San Francisco in 2015, Washington, D.C., in 2016 and Chicago in 2017. For the complete article in the Press Herald, click:  here.
